I started this series with two old airmail envelopes I picked up from a flea market box. The paper had that soft, worn feel you only get from something that has already lived a life. It felt right to give it another one.

On the first envelope, I drew Yosemite Valley in tight pen and ink lines, letting the cliffs rise out of the faded red and blue borders. On the second, I sketched Half Dome with the same slow, deliberate strokes. The envelopes did the rest. Their age added a quiet warmth that felt like a memory pressed flat.

Those originals have now been turned into fine art giclées that keep the original proportions and texture. Each print is set into a field of blue linen paper, double-matted for depth, and framed in a thin walnut profile that stays out of the way and lets the art breathe.

These pieces are meant to feel like a letter from a place that still knows how to take your breath. A small reminder of how wide the world can feel when you stand in front of granite and sky.
